Ladies leap with Honor

Birmingham St Mary's Hospice have successfully held their Ladies Leap Year Lunch at The Botanical Gardens, Birmingham, supported by Concept Saab.

The highlight of this year's lunch was the guest speaker, former Bond girl Honor Blackman. Diners were entertained with a speech highlighting her successful and varied career from cult films and television shows, to her continued presence in theatres across the West End.

Honor travelled to the event in a chauffeur driven, eco-friendly Saab 9-5 BioPower, courtesy of Concept Saab.

The dealership has been supporting St Mary's Hospice for a number of years - with regular donations from the Great Midlands Fun Run and various other fundraising schemes.

Gary Clay, Managing Director for Concept Saab, said: "We were delighted to provide a Saab 9-5 BioPower to safely transport Honor Blackman during her visit to Birmingham and to be able to support Birmingham St. Mary's Hospice with another fantastic fundraising event."

Birmingham St. Mary's Hospice care for over 1,000 people each year who are suffering from life limiting illnesses. Their aim is to give people the best possible quality of life for whatever time remains to them, supporting them and their families, for as long as they are needed.

The Saab BioPower is a flex-fuel car whose fossil CO2 emission levels can be reduced by between 50-70 per cent compared to a standard petrol-engined car. Saab BioPower technology means that the car can run on either a high-blend mixture of eco-friendly renewable energy source bioethanol and petrol (E85), or on pure petrol, without any adjustment required by the driver.
