![]() What is Bioethanol?Bioethanol is a completely renewable, sustainable energy source derived from a wide variety of agricultural produce, including forest residue, sugar cane, sugar beet, and grain. When mixed in high volumes with low volumes of petrol, a potent yet environmentally friendly fuel called Bioethanol E85 is created. How does it reduce harmful CO2 emissions? Bioethanol actually ‘recycles’ CO2 already present in the atmosphere - that is, when crops are grown for conversion to bioethanol, CO2 is removed from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. When the bioethanol is used to fuel a BioPower engine, CO2 is then returned to the atmosphere during combustion. In essence, up to 70% of the CO2 emitted is offset by the bioethanol crops' previous removal process. Bioethanol Fuel Advantages
